On Friday afternoon, the Young ARTILLERY Netherlands team gathered at Amsterdam UMC for their second in-person meeting. The session was kindly hosted by Amsterdam UMC colleagues Sanyog Vyawahare and Roosmarie Jessen.
During the meeting, team members presented updates on their ongoing work within the ARTILLERY project and participated in a lively team-bonding activity by playing pickleball, further strengthening collaboration and team spirit.
This gathering is a great example of the enthusiasm and cooperation that characterises the Young ARTILLERY community. The group consists of motivated early-career researchers and PhD students from diverse disciplines including AI, statistics, medicine, law, and ethics. Supported by their mentors, they bring fresh perspectives and valuable insights to the entire ARTILLERY consortium.
About the ARTILLERY Project
The ARTILLERY project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 101080983), is developing, validating, and prospectively evaluating AI systems for the early detection of chronic disease risk factors in women with breast cancer. The project uses routine CT images to identify these risks, aiming to improve patient outcomes through innovative, data-driven approaches.
The project warmly welcomes the active involvement of Young ARTILLERY members, who represent the next generation of interdisciplinary talent in the field.
Congratulations to the Young ARTILLERY NL team on a successful and enjoyable meeting
