LMU is the leading teaching and research university in Germany, ranking 1st in Germany in the latest Times Higher Education World University Ranking. LMU Klinikum – KUM acts in ARTILLERY as affiliated entity of LMU. This setup is required to ensure compliance with Bavarian legislation. Friederike Banning, MD, PhD
Friederike Banning, MD, PhD is a physician at the Breast Cancer, Study Site at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ludwig- Maximilians University, Munich. She completed her medical degree at the Universities of Bonn and Bochum, Germany in 1995. Within the same year, she completed her medical doctoral thesis in the area of Experimental
Endocrinology. Additionally,
Friederike Banning received further training in Pain Therapy at Klinikum Rechts der Isar and Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich as well as a Certificate of Nutrition at the German Academy for Nutritional Medicine. Friederike Banning gained a broad working experience from working in the department of Anesthesiology at the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, as study physician at Harrison
Clinical Research Germany GmbH in Munich, and the Diabetes Centre at Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich. Therefore, she has carried out from year 2002 until now numerous national and international Phase I- IV trials for different medical indications.
She also has experience in trial conduction in the position of a principal, a responsible
investigator as well as a sub investigator. Her special interests lie in Breast Cancer and Diabetology Research. Friederike Banning also broadened her experience as an active researcher by publishing papers concerning Diabetology and Covid-19.
As physician at the Breast Cancer, Study Site of Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich Friederike Banning conducts various Breast Cancer Studies for early as well as metastatic breast cancer particularly with novel targeted compounds and individualized treatment strategies.
