The possibilities of (technical) innovation in oncology are immense. In particular in the field of imaging and image-guided treatment, in combination with Artificial Intelligence, possibilities are endless. Lenny is convinced that we should not innovate because we can. We need to innovate to solve real health care problems. With increasing patient numbers, and a severe shortage of health care professionals, only clever and coordinated innovation can ensure patient’ access to high quality health care in future. Therefore, Lenny is committed to full integration of clinical research in routine patient care in order to facilitate undelayed evidence-based implementation of innovations in oncology.

She is a leader (PI) of several international research consortia and academic industrial partnership, head of clinical research office and investigator in a range of (international) scientific studies.
